I have assisted investigators and command staff of the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia by organizing and analyzing digital evidence from surveillance systems and recorded incidents.

My work focuses on presenting complex video footage in a clear format that helps detectives understand timelines, suspect movements, and critical details during investigations.

Milan Loftus - The Bichon Frise Detective

Milan Loftus—our Bichon Frise—has the instincts of a detective. One day, erosion revealed a buried firearm, and Milan stopped and signaled Pete to it. Pete contacted his friend Michael Reese, the Chief of Housing Police, and officers promptly arrived to secure the item and take it into evidence. Pete received a reward for doing the right thing, and Milan was celebrated accordingly: a new bed, a new harness, toys, treats, and his all-time favorite meal—grilled salmon from Ivy City Smokehouse.
